Akpororo ( Bowoto Jephthah Oluwatiseyifumi Tanimola) a Nigerian stand-up comedian, vocalist, and actor known for having attended AY’s Open Mic Challenge and contented twice and won second in his first attempt and won in his second attempt.

Akpororo was born on 3 October 1989, in Warri, Delta State, Nigeria.

Akpororo Career

Akpororo began his career as a local gospel musician in 2008. He attended the National Comedy Challenge by Oppa Williams and went on to win the Calabar zone of Competition.

In the year 2009, Akporoporo attended AY’s Open Mic Challenge and contented twice. He won second in his first attempt and won in his second attempt. He rose to fame in 2013 following his performance at ”Basketmouth’s Laff and Jam” and ”AY Live,” in 2013.

Akopororo staged his first comedy show,” Akopororo vs Akpororo,” on 122 August 2014 at the Shell Hall, Muson Centre. Bowoto began acting in the year 2014. He was featured in the film, Headgone and The Antique where he earned three nominations at the 2015 Golden Icons Academy Movie Awards. He signed a 2-year endorsement deal with telecommunication giants Airtel Nigeria in June 2015.

Jephthah married Josephine Ijeoms Abraham, a model, and a dancer on 14 November 2015, in Lagos at Eagles Club where they had accommodation of about 1000 guests. The duo dated for a month and Bowoto Jephthah proposed to her in August 2015, and she said yes.

The duo is blessed with three children, a boy and two girls. Their firstborn was born in 2016 followed by twins(boy and girl) in the year 2018 who was born in the United States of America. The family calls themselves the Roro Kingdom.
