Alina was first known for her electronic musician Galimatias having connected with her after hearing one of her SoundCloud uploads. They at first would send their music back and forth over Facebook: Galimatias then send one of his previously-released instrumentals and Alina Baraz would then send her evolved version after writing and recording her own lyrics.
The duo later began working on additional songs together, releasing the single “Make You Feel” plus an EP, which includes “Drift” and “Pretty Thoughts.” They later followed up that project with the new single titled Fantasy, that featured on the EP Urban Flora, a comprehensive trove of their collaborations to date.
Her music through SoundCloud she released the singles Make you Feel, Drift, and Pretty Thoughts. She as well embarked on a new project, releasing the new single titled Fantasy. Back on April 24 2020, she released her first full-length album It Was Divine, which signifies her return to the R&B scene two years after the release of her last extended play, The Color of You.
