Back in the late 1980s, she started off her career in journalism featuring in television commercials. Carmen competed in a number of beauty pageants as well as international modeling competitions in the United States and Europe. She sarted off her career in television with theatrical plays and later with television miniseries.

Carmen back in December 2015, she started off own travel blog, “Carmen Dominicci Trotamundos,” after leaving Telemundo. “Travel the world through my eyes,” the blog’s motto, inspired its creation.
She previously served 23 years reporting hard news. Back in 1998, she signed a contract with Telemundo 47, New York to work as a news anchor.
She served for four years. During this period, she aired the inauguration of President George Bush, President Bill Clinton’s impeachment trial, and the 9-11 attacks on the Twin Towers, to mention but a few.
She later got re-employed by Telemundo as one of the main faces of the “Telemundo News” team in one of the best stages of the network.
