Chad McQueen Biography

Chad McQueen an American actor, film producer, martial artist, and race car, driver. H eis well known for projects like The Karate Kid (1984), The Karate Kid Part II (1986), and Yucatan. Chad is the only son of actor Steve McQueen.

From the time he was young , he was an avid enthusiast of automobile, motorcycle, and racing, interests that he borrowed from his father, Steve.

He started racing dirt bikes while at the age of 9 and in three years, he won his class in the World Mini Grand Prix. He thereafter joined auto racing, winning his first race: the Mini Le Man’s event, a children-only track created on the set of the 1971 film Le Mans, when McQueen was ten years old.

He as well completed on that film, and he enjoyed racing at triple-digit speeds down the straights just by his father’s lap at the wheel of a Porsche 917. While at 12, he earned his class at the World Mini Grand Prix.

Chad got married to Stacia Toten as of 1987-1990. In 1988, the pair had one son, actor Steven Chadwick McQueen alias Steven R. McQueen. Steven R featured is a number of series regular in the TV series The Vampire Diaries and Chicago Fire.

He later remarried Jeanie Galbraith in 1993 and together have two children: a soccer player, Chase McQueen (born 1995) and Madison McQueen (born 1996).

McQueen featured as Dutch in The Karate Kid back in 1984 and The Karate Kid Part II back in 1986. H elater featured in the 1995 film New York Cop with Mira Sorvino and in the action films Red Line as Jim and Death Ring.

He as well served as a producer, winning a Telly Award for his documentary Filming at Speed. He also featured in a number of television programs related to motorsports, including Hot Rod TV and Celebrity Rides.

There were various attempts to reprise the character Dutch in season 2 of the YouTube Series Cobra Kai, but commitments to his company, McQueen Racing, made it impossible.

Chad McQueen Racing Career

He started off his racing career began back in the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) seeing him competed in diffrent types of racing from Motocross to the Baja 1000.

He teamed together with Belgian racing legend, Jacky Ickx and his daughter Vanina, piloting a trio of Porsche 959s, a project got sponsored by Porsche Motorsports for the 2004 Goodwood event. As well in 2004, he qualified for the SCCA Runoffs, winning multiple events. He as well finished 4th in the Westernesse Racing competition.

In January 2006, he got injured in an accident at the Daytona International Speedway while practicing for the 24 Hours of Daytona Sports Car race. He as well suffered a broken lower left limb, a pair of fractures to his vertebrae, and multiple rib fractures.

He later attended the 2007 Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona race to thank the medics and track workers who saved his life during the accident. Later on, he expressed his interest in becoming a team owner.

Back in November 2007, he got back to the Daytona International Speedway and got behind the wheel of the Brumos 1975 Ecurie Escargot RSR, driving it in the exhibitions at the Porsche Rennsport Reunion III.

In January 2010, he made a McQueen Racing, LLC, a partnership with leaders in the motorcycle and custom car industries towards the development of high performance, limited edition custom cars, motorcycles, and accessories.
