DeMarco Morgan is a well-known American journalist who currently hosts the morning news of CBS2 All News on CBS’s West Coast flagship station, KCBS. Before joining the station, Morgan worked as a reporter at WXIA-TV in Atlanta, anchoring the station’s 5, 6 and 11 p.m. Weekday news program.
Morgan graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1997 before working at KOTV. Morgan began his journalism career by covering the September 11 attacks as an undergraduate at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism. He also taught journalism at Jackson State University for two years and English at Milwaukee Area Technical College.
After graduation, Morgan got his first broadcasting job at CBS affiliate WJTV in Jackson, Mississippi. In 2004, he joined ABC affiliate WISN in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he starred opposite Portia Young for three years. In 2007, he began working as an anchor and reporter at Miami’s NBC station WTVJ. In December 2008, she joined NBC’s flagship station WNBC in New York as MSNBC’s season anchor and anchor.
