Deonte Harty’s career
He signed with the New Orleans Saints as a rookie free agent in 2019. DiNault capped off a great training camp by hitting a 78-yard field goal in a preseason game against the New York Jets and was named to the Saints’ 53-man roster. He made his NFL debut on Monday Night Football as the Saints’ leadoff rusher in the season opener against the Houston Texans. Deonte scored his first NFL touchdown on a 53-yard punt return in a 33-27 road win over the Seattle Seahawks in Week 3.
He finished his rookie season as the leading punt returner. and crime. He had a punt return yard and was selected to the Pro Bowl. Deonte became the first undrafted rookie to be selected to the Pro Bowl as a rookie and is one of four players on the team to return to the game in 2019. He was in the lineup/COVID-19 against the Saints on August 14th. 2020, but was activated two days later. In Week 7, Deonte scored his first career goal against the Carolina Panthers. He was placed on injured reserve on December 19, 2020 and returned to duty on January 9, 2021.
On March 16, 2023, he signed a two-year contract with the Buffalo Bills. Deonte became one of the team’s leading rebounders, hitting his first home run against the New York Giants. In Week 18 against the Miami Dolphins, he returned it 96 yards for a touchdown to help the Bills come back in the fourth quarter to win 21–14 and clinch the AFC East title. Deonte was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance
