Dr.Tumi a South African medical doctor and an award-winning gospel singer, songwriter, instrumentalist, and vocalist Tumi(born as Tumishang Makweya), known for his hit album “The Lion King” which earned him the Best RnB Gospel Award at the SABC Crown Gospel Music Award in 2012.

Dr. Tumi Fight Against COVID-9

Dr. Tumi topped the trend when his fellow musician DJ Cleo poked fun about South Africa needs all the “doctors” on standby over the spread of the coronavirus. This came after President Ramaphosa’s announcement on Monday that due to the rapid spread of the coronavirus, South Africa will be on lockdown for 21days.

DJ Cleo in his twitter mentioned the likes of Dr. Rebecca Malope, Dr. Malinga and Tumi. The doctor took on the challenge.
Taking to his official twitter Tumi wrote: “Hi fam. I want to play a part in helping our government with the fight against CORONAVIRUS. Starting this Friday, I’ll be volunteering my time for free working at one of the local hospitals at their COVID-9 units during the 21 days.”

Tumi will be stationed at Tembisa Hospital specialized COVID-19 unit, where he will be joining other medical practitioners in the fight against the pandemic.
