Droupadi Murmu Biography
Droupadi Murmu is an Indian lawyer and former teacher, serving as the 15th and current president of India since 2022. She is the first person from the tribe and the second woman to hold this post after Pratibha Patil. She is also the youngest person to hold this post and the first-born president of independent India.
Murmu previously served as the eighth chief minister of Jharkhand from 2015 to 2021 and as a member of the Odisha Legislative Assembly from 2015 to 2021.
