George Matthew Karlaftis III is a Greek professional American football player who currently plays defensive back for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League (NFL). Born in Athens, George grew up participating in water polo, basketball, football and athletics, and played for the Greek national team.
After he was 13, he moved to the United States with his family. George was a college football player at Purdue University and earned All-Big Ten honors before being selected by the President in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft. George was a regular starter and was part of the Chiefs’ Super Bowl LLVII-winning squad in his first season.
