Initially, Joanne presented the Overnight Slot and later the Breakfast Show from 2005 to 2010. she presented her own show, The Late Show with Joanne Good for three years.

Later on, Joanne was placed to replace Christine Bleakley on The One Show on BBC One. Currently, she presents the afternoon slot, from 3 pm to 5 pm on BBC London 94.9. she presents regular reports for the BBC London current affairs television program Inside Out, shown on BBC1 weekly whilst occasionally making reports for the South East edition. Joanne now presents her BBC Radio London show from 1:30 pm to 5:00 pm

Additionally, she played the role of a schoolgirl in the 1978 British horror film, Killer’s Moon. she made her appearance in the films Eat the Rich(1987) and ‘Go West Young Man'(1981).

On stage, she has played the title role in Educating Rita, co-starring with Norman Bowler. For several years, in the 1990s, and worked as part of Derek Nimmo’s touring company, performing all over the world.
