Jonathan Karl an American political journalist working as the Chief White House Correspondent for ABC News in Washington, D.C. Previously, before joining ABC News, Jonathan was a Congressional Correspondent for CNN News in the United States.

In May 2013, Karl became a controversial figure when he wrote an article that claimed to quote directly from an e-mail sent by a White House advisor. He apologized for the error and also for not having stated that the quote was from a detailed summary his source provided, rather than a direct quote from the e-mail.
