Laura Diaz Biography
Laura Diaz an American Southern California newscaster for KTTV Fox 11 in Los Angeles. She is well known as a fourteen-time Emmy Award winner and a three-time Imagen Award winner. Along with her team they won the Imagen Award for Best Local Informational Program in August 2011. The program aims on the controversial topic of African American and Latino race relations in Los Angeles.

Laura Diaz KABC-TV
Diaz started off her television career at KSBY in San Luis Obispo, and then joined by ne at KFSN in Fresno. Back in 1983, she relocated to Southern California and joined KABC-TV working as a reporter at the station’s bureau in Orange County.
At KABC-TV, she aired several major stories including the 1986 Los Angeles Central Library Fire, the 1992 Los Angeles Riots and the Northridge earthquake in 1994. She then started working a weekend anchor in 1985.
She later began anchoring KABC-TV’S 6 pm weekday evening newscast and as of 1997, she got named the anchor for the station’s 5 pm and 11 pm newscasts. She later became the first female Hispanic lead anchor at an English language television station in Los Angeles.
Laura Diaz KCBS-TV
Diaz left KABC-TV to KCBS-TV in September 2002 working as a co-anchor of the CBS 2 News at 5 and 11 pm together with Harold Greene. As of 2004, Paul Magers joined her working as co-anchor.
She served as one of the original hosts of the groundbreaking Vista L.A. on KABC-TV. Vista L.A is one of the first public affairs program in Southern California to serve both the English-speaking Latino audience in the region. The program won the coveted Imagen Award twice while Diaz was a co-host.

Back in May 2012, Diaz joined the FOX L.A. weekend working as news broadcasts alongside FOX news anchor Susan Hirasuna. She currently works on KTTV Fox 11 in Los Angeles.
