Back in May 2012, Mays began her career as an intern meteorologist working at WSB-TV in her hometown in Georgia. Thereafter in Oct 2012, she joined KXXV-TV/KRHD-TV as a morning meteorologist.
She served for a year and ten months giving the people of Waco weather updates during the weekday morning and midday hour until July 2014. She later joined WJCL ABC where she has been serving as a freelance journalist as of Aug 2017.
