Matt plays basketball and participates in the Oliver Scholars Program, which prepares students in underserved communities for top private schools. Peart received a scholarship to attend Governor’s College in Byfield, Massachusetts.

Despite having never played a sport before, Peart became an offensive and defensive player on the school’s football team and helped the Chiefs win four championships in Independent Schools League competition.
