Woo began and had a very successful amateur career having won the 2013 Drummond Junior, the 2014 Drummond Junior, the 2015 Western Australia Amateur, Drummond Junior, Aaron Baddeley International Junior Championship, the 2016 U.S. Junior Amateur, the 2017 Western Australia Amateur and as well won the 2018 South Australia Amateur Classic.

He began his professional back in 2019 where he competed on the European Tour and finished 4th in the Saudi International. He then tied on the 5th position in the ISPS Handa World Super 6 Perth. He then finishe the season 117th in the Order of Merit.

Back on 9th February 2020 he won the ISPS Handa Vic Open, the event being co-sanctioned by the European Tour and the PGA Tour of Australasia. He then won the Abrdn Scottish Open in 11 July 2021, after having defeated Belgian Thomas Detry and English Matthew Fitzpatrick in a playoff at the Abrdn Scottish Open. The win earned him an entry into the 2021 Open Championship.
