He also worked as the chief meteorologist at WCPO-TV, the ABC affiliate in Cincinnati, Ohio from 1996 to 2005. He also earned the Associated Press Awards for best regularly scheduled weather. He previously worked at WFTV, the ABC affiliate in Orlando, Florida, as a meteorologist for four years.

Delkus was an All-America pitcher and had an all-star college career. After college, he got to be a Free Agent in 1987 with the Minnesota Twins organization.
He completed the 1988 season while pitching for the double-A Kenosha, Wisconsin, with 33 saves and a 0.26 ERA. In 1989, Delkus played 140 innings and saved 10 games with a 1.87 ERA, in triple-A Orlando.
He also earned the “Minnesota Twins Minor League Player of the Year” and the Rolaids Relief Man awards. However, he got a serious elbow injury, ending his career prematurely.
