Trent Kelly an American award-winning multimedia journalist who joined the Local 10 News team back in June 2018. He previously worked as a general assignment reporter for WCJB-TV in Gainesville.
He is also known for being one of the first journalists to report on the search for missing UF student and Miami native Christian Aguilar. His reports earned him the Associated Press Award for Best General Assignment Reporter.

Trent Kelly Career
During his junior year, Trent was one of a handful of college journalists chosen from around the country to compete in the prestigious Hearst Journalism Competition, where he placed second in the nation.
Before moving to South Florida, Trent covered a wide range of issues on the other side of Alligator Alley, working as a reporter and weekend anchor for WBBH-TV in Fort Myers.
Prior to his time in southwest Florida, Trent worked as a general assignment reporter for WCJB-TV in Gainesville, where he was one of the first journalists to report on the search for missing UF student and Miami native Christian Aguilar. His reports earned him the Associated Press Award for Best General Assignment Reporter.
He also spent a summer in New York interning for CNBC Business News and later worked as a production assistant for CNBC during the 2012 Republican National Convention in Tampa.
