Scottish social philosopher and political economist Adam Smith wrote The Wealth of Nations, which established the first principles of political economy. He is an economist and researcher who published The Wealth of Nations, the first book on economics.

Although Smith’s date of birth is unknown, his baptism was recorded on June 5, 1723, in Kirkcaldy, Scotland. He attended the Berg School, where he studied Latin, mathematics, history and literature. Smith studied at Glasgow University at the age of 14 and transferred to Oxford University in 1740.
