Aeschylus Biography
Greek playwright Aeschylus is the first European playwright whose works have been preserved. He is also the first great Greek (author of a great play about tragic events) and is more concerned with tragedy in the social good between people and God than with other people.
Aeschylus was born in Eleusis, Greece, into a noble and wealthy Athenian family. His father, Euphorion, was a wealthy man. Homer’s writings are part of the work of Aeschylus (Greek poet who lived around 800 BC).
