Anne Holt an American seven-time Emmy award-winning former journalist at WKRN . For 40 years , she anchored the news on News 2 and later on , she opted to change her role in the station to a special contributor reporting on people and groups that make a difference in our community .

She is recognized by her peers throughout the region as an outstanding role model . For her investigative documentary “Under the Influence”, she became a beneficiary of the coveted George Foster Peabody Award.

With that honor , she earned the privilege of being the first woman , the first African American , and the first news anchor to receive the award .
