Dave Karger Biography

Dave Karger is a TV personality currently well-known as the Presenter of TCM (Turner Classic Movies). He also graduated from Duke University in Journalism.

Dave ended his TCM hosting career in 2016 and was promoted to presenter in 2018. In addition to TCM, Dave has appeared more than 200 times on NBC’s Today and as a special correspondent for IMDb.

In 2015, he was awarded the Public Relations Association’s Best Entertainment Journalist of the Year Journalism Award.
He was also previously selected as one of OUT Magazine’s “OUT 100” list, which recognizes the most influential people in the LGBT community in 2014. It was nominated for the 2013 Webby Award for Best Picture. In 2018, she appeared on ABC’s Oscar Night Red Carpet Live.

Prior to that, Dave was a veteran writer for Entertainment Weekly for 17 years, writing more than 50 stories on the likes of George Clooney, Angelina Jolie, Elton John, Taylor Swift, Johnny Depp, Denzel Washington, and Carrie Underwood. In 2012 and 2013, Dave hosted the Oscars Red Carpet Reception on Oscar night, becoming the third person in history to hold that position.
