As a freshman at Notre Dame in 2014, he appeared in 11 games, starting three and recording one pass breakup, a fumble recovery, one interception and 33 tackles for loss. He played in three games and started one as a sophomore in 2015, but was sidelined all season after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament tear while celebrating against Georgia Tech after Sept. 19.
