In the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft, Elgton was selected by the Green Bay Packers with the 44th overall pick. On May 13, 2019, Jenkins signed a four-year contract worth $6.782 million. Entering his rookie season on September 22, 2019, he made his first NFL start in Week 3 against the Denver Broncos as the backup for the injured Lane Taylor. He blocked 571 passes this season and did not allow a single sack. Elgton earned his first Pro Bowl appearance as a starter during the 2020 season.
Elgton joined the Packers for the 2021 season, replacing the injured David Bakhtiari and serving as the Packers’ starting left tackle. Elgton started eight games there and suffered an ACL tear in the team’s 34-31 loss to the Minnesota Vikings in Week 11. Two days later, Jenkins was placed on injured reserve by the Packers and finished his season. Elgton signed a four-year, $68 million contract extension through December 23, 2022 and was selected to the 2023 Pro Bowl as a reserve.
