James Naughtie is a famous British BBC radio and news presenter. Nottie is a prominent presenter of Channel 4’s Today programme. James began his journalism career at Aberdeen News and Magazine in 1975 and moved to The Scotsman’s London office in 1977. The following year he joined the Westminster staff as a political correspondent.

In 1981, he joined the national staff of the Washington Post as a Lawrence Stern Fellow. He also joined The Guardian in 1984 and was promoted to news director in 1985. However, Naughtie moved into radio presenting in 1986, hosting Westminster The Week and then presenting World of One Year in 1988. It has been hosting balls since 1992 and also hosts programs such as Radio 3’s Opera Book Club and Radio Cua 4’s Book Club.
