Lisa Ling (Lisa J. Ling) an American journalist and TV personality known as the host of CNN’S This is Life with Lisa Ling. She previously hosted Our America documentary series back from (2011-2014) that was aired on Oprah Winfrey Network for 5 straight seasons. She was as well a special correspondent for Oprah Winfrey Show and as well a National Geographic Ultimate Explorer host from 2003 to 2010.

Lisa began her career working as a reporter and anchor for Channel One News, after dropping from University studies. She served as a correspondent and some of her assignments were in Afghanistan and Iran.

She then worked at ABC as the co-host of daytime talk show The View as of 1999 to 2002. Back in 2003 she joined National Geographic Ultimate Explorer working as the host and covered the Drug War in Colombia, MS-13, and as well explored the culture of U.S. prisons. Her trip to North Korea being part of a medical missionary group was documented and then aired in National Geographic as a documentary : Inside North Korea. Lisa worked with National Geographic until 2010.

She as well worked as a special correspondent for The Oprah Winfrey Show with a title Oprah Show Investigative Reporter. She as well reported on the gang rape in the DRC, The Lord’s Resistance Army in Uganda, Child trafficking in Ghana, bride burning in India, puppy mills undercover investigation in Pennsylvania, and as well on the April 2007 Virginia Tech Massacre.

Ling as weell appeared in CNN Planet in Peril : Battle lines (200) a documentary from National Geographic Explorer. She was also the host as of 2011 to 2014 that ran for five straight seasons and premiered on the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN).
