Jeff began his journalism career in 1986 near his hometown of Statenville, Georgia. He spent three years at ABC affiliate WVGA in Valdosta, Georgia, before moving to NBC affiliate WMGT in Macon, Georgia. Erin worked for CBS affiliate WCTV in Tallahassee, Florida in 1990. Throughout his career, Jeff worked as a principal in Valdosta, which gave him the opportunity to report to the media and his high school alma mater. He went on holiday anchor before leaving the station.

Jeff moved to West Palm Beach, Florida in 1996 where he worked as a reporter. He happily returned to South Florida because that’s where he met his wife. In December 1999, his wife found a job in Houston and they moved to Texas. A month later, he got a job as KTRK’s morning reporter. His family has grown even more since he came to the station. He and his wife are the proud parents of two sons who keep them busy and sometimes teary-eyed.

During his time at KTRK, Jeff covered hurricanes, the liberation of Kuwait and Iraq, and the Texas military protecting detainees at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Erin looks forward to many happy stories and happy times in Houston. She especially enjoys traveling and playing football. She graduated from Valdosta State University with a degree in television.
