Edmondson joined BBC Radio 1 on January 8, 2010, and featured every Friday on Fearne Cotton’s show to report on entertainment news and gossip. His first appearance on Cotton’s show occurred on January 15, 2010.
On 14 March 2010, Edmondson began hosting the Sunday 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. slot on BBC Radio 1, sitting in for regular presenter Sara Cox, who was on maternity leave. On 6 April 2011, Edmondson began a weekly show on BBC Radio 1 replacing Huw Stephens from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Wednesdays.

Edmondson was a CBBC continuity presenter from 2004 to 2006, having previously worked as a roving reporter for Channel 4’s Richard & Judy in 2002.
