Michael Cera is a famous Canadian actor. He is well-known for his awkward, offbeat characters in coming-of-age comedy films and for portraying George Michael Bluth in the sitcom Arrested Development (2003-2006, 2013, 2018-2019). Also, he is known for portraying Brother Bear in The Berenstain Bears.

Cera has had numerous roles in the U.S.A. television and film productions. Particularly, he is known for playing the characters of Evan in Superbad (2007), Paulie Bleeker in Juno (2007), Scott Pilgrim in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010), and Scott Pilgrim Takes Off (2023), a fictional version of himself in This Is the End (2013), and Allan in Barbie (2023). Other starring roles include in Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist (2008), and Youth in Revolt (2009).

His first role was an unpaid appearance in a Tim Hortons summer camp commercial. In 1999, he was cast in the Canadian children’s show I Was Sixth Grade Allen as Larrabe Hicks. The show ran for two seasons. That same year, he appeared in the television films What Katy Did and Switching Goals, starring the Olsen twins. In 2000, he made his theatrical film debut in the science fiction film Frequency as the son of Noah Emmerich’s character.

Also, he began voicing Josh Spitz in the animated series Braceface which he continued until 2004. In 2002, he had a role in the critically panned Fox pilot The Grubbs which was never aired. He then successfully auditioned for a part in another Fox sitcom, Arrested Development.

He made his theatre debut at the Sydney Opera House in a production of Kenneth Lonegran’s play This Is Our Youth in a two-week run. In 2013, he collaborated with Chilean filmmaker Sebastian Silva on two films – Magic Magic and Crystal Fairy & the Magical Cactus. Michael Cera 2014-Present

In 2014, he played a marijuana dealer in the film Hits, with David Cross. He then went on to co-star alongside John Hawkes and Sally Hawkins in Charlie Kaufman’s television pilot How & Why, which was rejected by FX. The following year, he made a cameo on Louis C.K’s Louie on FX, in the season five episode “Sleepover” alongside Glenn Close, John Lithgow, and Matthew Broderick. In 2017, he had five film releases. First was the animated superhero comedy The Lego Batman Movie.
