Pranay Roy is an Indian economist, journalist, psychologist, chartered accountant and author. Roy is considered one of the co-founders of New Delhi Television Limited (NDTV) along with his wife Radhika Roy. He is the former Executive Co-Chairperson of NDTV.

Reportedly, Radhika Roy and Pranaya Roy are believed to be the founders of NDTV; However, Pranay Roy claims Radhika as the founder of the production house as he joined the company later.

On 30 April 2015, Prannoy won the Red Ink Lifetime Achievement Award from the Mumbai Press Club for his continuous and pioneering contribution to news television and his services to journalism. The award was presented at Jamshed Bhaba Theater in NCPA Building in Mumbai.
