Reed accepted the offer from Middle Tennessee State, where he played in his freshman season (2017), played 13 games, made 9 starts. Reed earned all-conference honorable mention and C-USA Freshman of the Year honors and ranked fourth on the team with 68 tackles, one sack and two interceptions. Reed started 13 games as a sophomore and 12 in 2018, finishing with a team-high 107 tackles defensed, including seven passes defensed and four interceptions.
Reid’s four interceptions ranked 16th nationally.
