Richard Hatch Education

Hatch enrolled and later graduated from Middletown High School back in 1979. He then joined the Florida Institute of Technology and studied Marine Biology and Oceanography before he finally enlisted for the Army in 1980.
 
He thereafter got appointed to the United States Military Academy at West Point, by Rhode Island Senator John Chafee. He worked for five years until 1985 when and later honorably discharged.

His got t stationed at t Fort Bliss, Texas, and Fort Stewart, Georgia, before attending USMAPS in Fort Monmouth, New Jersey, and the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York.

 
He later left West Port for New York City working for owners of Studio 54; Ian Schrager and Steve Rubel at the Palladium. Hatch thereafter graduated from National-Louis University with a bachelor’s degree in Management/Applied Behavioral Sciences.

He later got to Newport, Rhode Island and joinedRhode Island’s Providence College, for his master’s degree in Education and Counseling.

 Richard Hatch Survivor

Hatch is known for having competed in the first edition of the Survivor series: Survivor: Borneo. He started the game on the Tagi tribe being assembled a voting alliance with former Navy SEAL Rudy Boesch, Sue Hawk, and Kelly Wiglesworth.

Featured as the fisherman of his tribe, a role he got into to ensure that he would be too valuable to vote off. Tangi later got merged with the Pagong tribe to a new tribe called Rattana.

 He appeared arrogant in the final tribal council and got praised and vilified for his leadership of the voting alliance. Hatch was compared to a snake by Hawk. He later became the Sole Survivor in a 4–3 vote, earning the votes of Boesch, Hawk, Kenniff, and Greg Buis.

Survivor: All-Stars

On the Survivor: All-Stars, he featured as a member of the Mogo Mogo tribe. He got to the season with a carefree attitude knowing there were secret pre-game alliances against himself and also as a conspiracy to eliminate previous Survivor winners.

He as well went fishing for sport, being the entertainer and lounging around camp. He got eventually eliminated from the tribe after they lost immunity.

 
It got revealed back in 2010 that he was picked as a strong candidate to return for the 20th season, Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains, as a villain. He was though unable to return because prosecutors refused to grant him permission.
