Blizzard’s broadcasting career began when presented on a Sunday afternoon program on the hospital radio station at Walsgrave General Hospital. She later worked at the studios of Mercia FM in 1993. She presented the Nightbeat program which was broadcast on Leicester Sound. She later moved to the breakfast show of Leicester Sound and got the Sunday afternoon show. In late 1997 Blizzard, worked in Liverpool as a news reporter for Live TV and also presented programs Vets and Pets. She worked on programs Like Vets and Dogs, Live Drive, and Merseybeat with the Mersey Police Force who were included. She later joined East Midlands Today in March 1999 as the weather presenter.
