Stanislav Lobotka is a famous Slovak professional footballer who plays for Serie A club Napoli and the Slovakia national team as a midfielder. On March 4, 2012, Stanislav made his Corgon Liga debut for AS Trencin over FK Dukla Banska Bystrica. On June 30, 2013, he joined AFC Ajax for the 2013-14 season on a one-year loan with an option to buy.

Lobotka then played his first match for Ajax in a pre-season friendly encounter against RKC Waalwijk on July 13, 2013. He came on as a 60th-minute sub for Christian Eriksen in a 5-1 victory in Waalwijk at the Mandemakers. Lobotka came to FC Nordsjælland in August, briefly before the transfer window closed. He then made his debut over Brondby on August 30, 2015. Lobotka joined as a regular on the midfield, and in his first season had played all the games except one due to an illness.

He signed with Italian Serie A club S.S.C. Napoli on January 15, 2020, for a reported €24m contract until 2024. Stanislav was benched in his first possible fixture against Florentina in a 0-2 loss on January 18, 2020. Instead, he made a short, 22-minute appearance in Coppa Italia over Lazio being featured in the starting line-up. Lobotka had to be substituted early because of tactical changes, after a red card to Elseid Hysaj. He still witnessed an early winning goal by Lorenzo Insigne in the 2nd minute.

On January 26, 2020, he made his league debut against table leaders Juventus. He came on as a sub for Diego Demme, who was booked with a yellow card in the first half. Napoli then managed to receive an upset win against the favorites, by winning 2-1, with goals scored by Piotr Zielinski and Lorenzo Insigne. He represented various youth Slovak teams and was called up to the senior Slovakia team for games against Lithuania and Austria in November 2016. Later, he was called up to multiple fixtures but had to wait for his competitive debut until September 1, 2017, for a 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier over Slovenia.

After just three days, he scored his first international goal for the senior team on September 4, 2018. He became the first Slovak to score at Wembley, in a qualifier against England. Lobotka then scored after he tackled and took the ball from Marcus Rashford and exchanged a pass with Adam Nemec, prior to beating Joe Hart in the 3rd minute of the game. Slovakia however went on to lose the match 1-2 after goals by Rashford and Eric Dier.
