Clamp moved to ITV Central in May , 2005 and became the principal presenter of the East version of ITV News Central . He was laid off by the station on 20th , February , 2009. ITN hired him as a freelancer , and he appeared on ITV News at 5:30 , ITV News London , and Setanta Sports News . He returned to ITV Central as a sports correspondent and relief newscaster in August , 2009 .
His first television position was as a host of a children’s show in 1994 . He began his freelance career as a presenter , but he worked for Chelsea TV as a cameraman , editor , presenter , and reporter . In 1998 , he ‘transferred’ to Manchester United TV as a senior reporter . In the year 2000 , he began working as a presenter for Sky Sports News and , on occasion , Sky News , as well as hosting a weekly phone-in for Manch . As a senior sports reporter , he joined the BBC West Midlands regional news show Midlands Today in January , 2002 .
