Tabitha Soren an American fine art photographer and as well a former reporter for MTV News, ABC News, and NBC News. Back in college (NYU) she featured in the 1987 music video for “(You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (to Party)” by the Beastie Boys.Whe she wasm 23 years she was the face of MTV’s Choose or Lose campaign that focused on encouraging young adults to vote and the campaign earned a Peabody Award back in May 1992.

Soren interviewed Hillary Clinton, Anita Hill, and Yasser Arafat, together with many others. She as well had minor roles in the films The Cable Guy and Contact as herself. Some clips of her interviews with Tupac Shakur featured in the 2003 documentary film Tupac: Resurrection. After working in television news, she spent a year studying art and photography at Stanford University.

Back in 2015, her exhibition Fantasy Life debuted at the Kopeikin Gallery in Los Angeles and traveled to the San Francisco Bay Area that showcased images of 21 baseball players having been selected for the Oakland A’s 2002 draft class, whom Soren followed for thirteen years to when they were out of baseball.

Back in 2017, the Aperture Foundation published a selection of her Fantasy Life photographs, with text by Dave Eggers. Also in the summer of 2017, EUQINOMprojects in San Francisco exhibited work from the Surface Tension series, in which all images were photographed using 8 x 10 sheets of film. Soren along with her husband, they have three children named Quinn Tallulah, Dixie, and Walker Jack. On May 25, 2021, her daughter Dixie had a head-on collision with a semi-truck near Truckee, California and was later pronounced dead at the scene. She died at the age of 19.
