Bell’s success stemmed from her audio experiments and her family’s interest in helping Deaf people communicate. Bell worked with Thomas Watson on the phone, but his skills allowed him to work on various inventions, including flying machines and hydrofoils.

Bell was born on March 3, 1847, in Edinburgh, Scotland.
It was named after his grandfather, Alexander Melville Bell, who was the youngest son of Alexander Melville Bell and Eliza Grace Symonds Bell. He was given the name “Graham” when he was ten years old.”
