Jim Cantore is an American meteorologist working as an on-air meteorologist for The Weather Channel. He as well serves as the narrator on the TWC series Storm Stories. He graduated in 1986 from Lyndon State College.

He earned the AMS Television Seal of Approval and is also a member of the National Weather Association as well as the American Meteorological Society. Back in 2003, he earned the NOAA-David S. Johnson Award in 2003 for his innovative use of environmental satellite technology.

He often filled in for Al Roker on The Today Show after NBC Universal’s acquisition of The Weather Channel in 2008.
